THE ARTIST BEHIND THE PRINTS

A CONVERSATION WITH PRESCILLIA ALMEIDA

Of Portuguese origin and based in Paris, the 22-year-old artist has always had a keen eye for fashion, design, and aesthetics in general. Trained in textile design at the finest schools in the French capital, Prescillia nurtures her creative universe with passion, bringing a unique perspective to every project.

I would describe myself as a very dynamic and solar person. I love sharing and exchanging with everyone on any subject! My sense of fashion also serves as a mean self-expression, an integral facet of my character. It plays a role in communicating my creative universe through the visual image I craft, not just for personal satisfaction but also for the individuals in my immediate circle.

WHAT INSPIRES HER
My inspirations can come from any source I've seen or analyzed during my daily life, whether it's on Instagram, in magazines, museums, or even on the street.

THE CREATION PROCESS
I often start with sketches on paper to capture my initial ideas. Then, I begin researching images that could complement the sketches, ranging from architectural and artistic domains to the world of fashion. After building a good image library and creating a mood board, I start the design process using Photoshop & Illustrator and experiment until I find the pattern that makes me go 'Wow!'

What I love most about creating prints is the evolution of an image that I envisioned from the beginning and ends up telling a story, conveying an emotion, or a universe on a medium that enhances it.

WORKING WITH TERRA
My journey with TERRAMERANA was a rewarding blend of professionalism and creativity. I embraced challenges and tasks entrusted to me while digging into my creative mind. Inspiration flowed seamlessly, sparked by Maureen and Agathe's meticulously crafted mood boards and storytelling.
I was given the freedom to propose numerous patterns that aligned with their brand, resulting in an exceptional daily selection.
